Description
Xanadu is one of Western Australia’s most trusted wineries, and their new Vinework label gives the brand a fresh, exciting twist. Replacing the former DJL series, which was not previously in our range, Vinework is now a standout addition — and what a stonking Chardonnay it is! The brand refresh hasn’t just updated the look; the quality inside the bottle has also taken a confident step up, delivering rich, expressive fruit, seamless texture, and that signature Xanadu elegance.
Smell: subtle aromas of peaches and cream with hints of grapefruit, roasted hazelnuts and cashews layered with butter, toasty vanilla, and bready notes.
Tastes: this is an outstanding Chardonnay that speaks of the class that Western Australia offers. There is harmony, balance, poise, and charm from whoa to go, with perfectly integrated oak. White nectarine, nashi pear, and lime zest with creamy, buttery flavours enhance the overall complexity and quality of this wine. A simply stunning Chardonnay and for sub $31, this is an absolute bargain. Drinking superbly now through 2028 and will match with pasta, quiche or white meats. The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
