Description
Mount Riley has long been a Marlborough favourite, known for crafting wines that consistently deliver quality and value. Now, they’ve added something exciting to their repertoire — Albariño. The 2025 vintage, grown on their St Andrew Vineyard just south of Blenheim, captures the variety’s signature charm: juicy peach, a subtle savoury hint of dried hay, and a crisp, refreshing acid line. It’s vibrant, moreish, and made for summer dining — especially alongside freshly caught snapper. Drink now or enjoy through 2028.
Smells
lifted aromas of peach skin, guava, white fleshed nectarine, with lemon zest, fresh basil, and sun-baked hay.
Tastes
a rich, creamy, oily palate with a crystalline acid thread that cleanses and freshens, well balanced and ultimately drinkable. Well done to the Mount Riley team for capturing true varietal characteristics and making a delicious drinking dry white wine. Perfect for those summer afternoons ahead. The recommended serving temperature is 6-8 degrees.
