Description

"Edda", translating to "she" in the Salento dialect, is an unusual (to NZ wine drinkers) but very tasty blend of Chardonnay, Moscatello & Fiano. Complex and refined, it showcases the elegance while reflecting the rich terroir of Puglia. Fermented in barrel, it spends another 4 months in French oak with weekly batonnage to ensure pitch perfect texture while retaining freshness.

Smells

The bouquet is inviting, offering mellow floral notes, ripe peach, subtle vanilla, hints of lime zest and freshly picked herbs.

Tastes

On the palate, it is generous and elegant, with a lithe acidity that intertwines with the enveloping warmth. The texture is creamy, and reveals savoury and mineral notes, characteristic of the calcareous soils of Salento. The finish is refined and persistent, leaving a lasting impression of freshness, peach and citrus with captivating delicacy. Enjoy now with pasta and chicken dishes.
