Description

Smith & Sheth wines have graced the Fine Wine Shelves for a few years now, and the tasting team always eagerly anticipates their new releases. This passionate wine team, featuring revered Kiwi winemaker Steve Smith MW (the visionary behind Craggy Range's quality) and American environmentalist Brian Sheth, is dedicated to creating world-class wines in holistic vineyard and winemaking environments. The Cru Heretaunga Albariño 2023 is a fresh addition to our shelves, and if you haven’t yet tasted a New Zealand Albariño, this is the perfect place to start.

Smells

a lifted perfume of white pepper, lemonades, white flowers, and a charming exotic Asian spice lift.

Tastes

A wine with similarities to Riesling yet with greater richness and charm. The floral lift carries over to the palate, with a chalky, mineral thread. A wine with intrigue and interest and for those of you, who love to try new things, this is a refreshing place to start. The texture, balance and acidity are all in harmony, making for a delicious drinking wine style. Excellent drinking now through 2027, serve with seafood, salads, or your favourite white meats. For optimal drinking pleasure the recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
