Crafted by Louis Vavasour, son of Peter Vavasour (who helped put the Awatere Valley on the map), this wine continues a proud family legacy in one of Marlborough’s most distinctive subregions. The 2025 vintage is a standout: rich, concentrated, and beautifully balanced. It’s everything you want in a Pinot Gris, expressive, textural, and bursting with character. Smells
Alpine flower, nutmeg, Nashi pear, white peach, and soft nutty tones.
Tastes
Deliciously tangy edges to the ripe pear/peach fruits threaded with nutmeg and cinnamon spices. Finely creamed texture and softy nutty elements and where balanced acids provide a natural buoyancy and food friendliness. Enjoy through 2027. Serve with a cheese platter or your favourite canapes. The recommended serving temperature is 6-8 degrees.
