Description
Already a Gold winner… plus 95/100 from Decanter World Wine Awards 2025 and our very own Tasting Panel… this Pinot Gris is named after the Falls Dam, the reservoir that delivers pure glacial waters, contributing to McArthur Ridge vineyards exceptional vibrancy. Located in the heart of an unforgiving mountainous region in Central Otago, the cool climate and gently sloping Brassknocker soils combine to create what some consider to be amongst the finest vineyards in the world for growing Pinot Noir & Gris! There is no doubt there is “Magic” in McArthur Ridge Vineyard… further magicked by World Champion Pinot Noir Winemaker, Matt Connell. This 2024 Pinot Gris is beautifully concentrated showcasing the vitality & purity of its glacial environment. Enjoy now, but it is age worthy through 2029+.
Smells
Floral aromas giveaway to freshly cut limes, crunchy apples, peach and lychee.
Tastes
A vibrant, pure palate of stonefruit layered with fresh lime and subtle lemon laced with mineral freshness. Elegant and textural throughout, the lengthy finish has a juicy Granny Smith apple vitality and finishes DRY with a refreshing smidgen of sweetness. Enjoy now until 2029 with seafood, chicken and soft cheese. Also, incredibly refreshing and flavoursome by itself. Best served between 7 - 9c.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
