Description
Change is inevitable, as seen in the recent shift of ownership at Villa Maria, now under Indevin. Understandably, there was some scepticism about whether the hallmark quality of Villa Maria wines would endure. Credit where it's due—Indevin has proven they’re committed to maintaining the high standards we’ve come to expect from this iconic label. This Cellar Selection Pinot Gris is a shining example: generous, balanced, and exactly what the range has always stood for—exceptional quality at a modest price. Let’s hope this momentum continues for years to come.
Smells
Exotic aromas of apple and pear, with almond, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Tastes
Dry in style, there is plenty of luscious fruit, from apple to pear to stone fruit, with spicy and nutty notes fleshing out the texture, all cleaned up by a zippy line of fresh acidity. Crisp and refreshing with a stylish texture, it’s everything we love about Pinot Gris and will be at its best with pork between now and 2027. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
