Main Divide has to be one of the most ambitious entry-level labels on the market. While many settle for simple, fruit-forward charm, Pegasus Bay sticks to their house style with serious intent — and it shows. A portion of botrytised grapes brings layers of apricot, ginger spice, and texture that are well beyond the norm at this level. The 2024 release is no exception, bursting with flavour and lifted by a playful natural spritz (CO₂ in solution) that adds energy and sparkle to every sip. Smells
Wild honey, lime, honeysuckle, and apple.
Tastes
Tropical fruits like mango and mandarin, lime, candied ginger, and apricots. An off dry and luscious style of Riesling with complex textural interest and style to burn. The balance of fruit and acid is nothing short of perfect. Enjoy between now and 2028. Expect a prickle of CO2 on the palate, this adds more freshness and helps the wine age for longer in the bottle. Serve with all Asian cuisine or a cheese platter. For optimal drinking pleasure the recommended serving temperature is 7-10
