Sourced solely from the winery’s finest steeply terraced, north facing blocks. The 2023 vintage enabled longer hang time on the vines through early April resulting in optimally ripe fruit with pristine flavours. Harvested in the cool of night to maximise fruit purity, the juice was left on lees in tank for 3-months to build texture and palate weight. Its expressive aromas, balanced acidity, pure, concentrated and refreshing finish… are testament to the exceptional characters of NZ Sauvignon Blanc… and the winegrowing & winemaking of this internationally acclaimed Awatere Valley winery.
Smells
Intensely aromatic, featuring a medley of passionfruit, golden kiwifruit and lime zest. Subtle blackcurrant notes add complexity.
Tastes
The palate unfolds with flavours of passionfruit, lime zest, apricot and gooseberry… complemented by subtle capsicum. The well-balanced acidity enhances the refreshing mouthfeel and lingering, pure finish. Perfect with a bowl of green lipped mussels, freshly shucked oysters or baked salmon… and friends! Best served between 6c - 8c.
