This Marlborough institution was bought by new owners a few years ago and undergone a total brand refresh, adopting a more retro look to connect with its history. The new owners/new look are working wonders as their wines have definitely taken a massive leap upwards in quality. This Lawson's Dry Hills Sauvignon Blanc is the product of a long, cool, autumn ripening the grapes to perfection with crisp mouth-watering acidity.
Smells
A deep breath in reveals florals, passionfruit flowers, dried herbs, and hints of gooseberry and citrus fruit.
Tastes
Mouth-filling and tropical with a charming citrus and passionfruit tang, subtle mineral influence and loads of pure fruit flowing across the palate. Crisp and dry on the finish, this is Marlborough Sauvignon as it's meant to be - pure and unadulterated with plenty of texture. Perfect drinking now through 2027 with your favourite seafood dishes. The recommended serving temperature is 6-8 degrees.
