I was in our tasting Panel session when this 2025 Sauvignon was reviewed and astonished by how exceptional it was in a very strong, largely higher priced lineup. Apropos its consistent quality & sheer value Summerhouse has become a Fine Wine Delivery customer favourite. Overlooking the ocean, in dry and windswept Blind River, they grow their grapes in one of the harshest environments in Marlborough. But this is far from a disadvantage. In fact, their grapes love it and thrive. Their slogan says it all, ‘Bringing a touch of Summer to every day. We capture the best bits of Summer in every glass of Summerhouse, so you can enjoy life’s simple pleasures all year round’. And their latest 2025 Sauvignon Blanc highlights these points perfectly with its strong focus on aromatics and drinkability, simply outstanding.
Smells
Tropical passionfruit, guava, freshly squeezed citrus and lemon basil aromas waft from the glass.
Tastes
Superbly concentrated and refreshing mix of citrus, tropical and vine fruits with passion, orange, guava and melon all unfolding in its luscious, zesty palate. The juicy citrus tang is nicely rounded making for a complete and perfect contrast. Enjoy with green-lipped mussels or other fresh seafood delights. The recommended serving temperature is 6-8 degrees.
