Description
Marisco vineyards owned by the Marris family is situated in the stunning Waihopai Valley. Waihopai River Vineyard lies on the flats on the right bank of the Waihopai River, at the mouth of the valley. By far the most substantial part of the 260ha vineyard is planted in Sauvignon Blanc, along with Pinot Gris and a few small blocks of Chardonnay and Viognier. The diversity of soils and aspects across the three terraces of the vineyard is core to the deep layers of flavour and complexities that even the commercially priced Ned Range of wines encompass.
Smells
Bright aromas of lime leaf, passion pulp with subtle smoke and wet stone mineral notes.
Tastes
Luscious fruits with plush textural mouth feel, the concentrated palate contrasts richness and lightness beautifully, aided by precise natural acids and mineral freshness. Enjoy often through 2025, with all ethically caught Marlborough seafood.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
