South African producer DeMorgenzon was founded in 1699 and the name translates to ‘the morning sun’ due to their very steep vineyards rising 200 to nearly 400 metres above sea-level.
In 2003 the Appelbaums purchased the estate and transformed it into a 91-hectare garden comprising of 55 hectares of vines where wild flowers grow between the rows dramatically increasing the bio-diversity.
