Greystone's meteoric rise to the top of the NZ wine industry in only a few short years can only be explained one way: they've stumbled upon a very special piece of terroir.

The vines are barely 10 years old and they have for several years been regarded by international magazine Decanter as "one of NZ's top 20 producers" - a list that becomes more impressive when you see the quality of winery that's not on it! Anyone who understands viticulture will know that vines at this age have not yet reached their full potential - imagine how good these wines will be!
Of course the human influence should not be overlooked either… Winemaker Dominic Maxwell is clearly at the top of his game and his collaboration with viticulturalist Nick Gill is yielding world class NZ wines.
