M. Chapoutier Wines

Robert Parker was one of the first to recognise Chapoutier's genius in the early 90s, and Chapoutier's top Hermitage wines now fetch in excess of $750/bottle - if you can find them, which is almost impossible in NZ. However, Chapoutier's strength lies not in those luxury cuvees, but rather in his consistency right through the range, down to his Cotes du Rhones and Pays d'Oc wines. Each wine that bears his name provides a bona fide drinking experience of a time and a place.

Chapoutier's legendary winemaking skills are complemented by his commitment to the terroir. Made adhering to organic and biodynamic practices, when you crack open a bottle you'll instantly understand why Chapoutier is arguably the biggest name in French wine.
