Garage Project Annual Day of the Dead release

It’s been almost a year since you felt that tingle on your tongue, a fire in your belly and left-over paint on your face. One of the most anticipated beer releases of the year is back and better than ever with Garage Project's annual Day of the Dead release, including a brand new chili sour!

Each year since 2010 the crafty folk at Garage Project have been releasing beers to celebrate the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead. Day of the Dead is in no way related to the American practice of Halloween; an event based on mischief and terror. DOTD is a celebration of life, based on love and respect for deceased family members. Over two days the spirits of the dead are welcomed back with loving arms into the world of the living. Altars are set up in homes and cemeteries around Mexico. The main flower used to decorate these altars is the Marigold.

This year, Garage Project have introduced a new amigo to the familia with Flor de Muertos - a zesty kettle sour infused with Mexican Marigolds, habanero chilli and fresh tangelo juice, delicioso!

This newbie is accompanied by the two classics - Day of the Dead, a strong black lager inspired by the Aztec beverage xocolatl, “a bitter, frothy, spicy drink” combining cocoa and chilli. La Calavera Catrina has also returned, a blonde lager made special with the additions of maize, habanero chilli, rosewater and watermelon.

As always, these beers never stick around for more than a few days and allocations are extremely limited, so get in while you can!
