Description
Made from a blend of rums between 12 and 18 years old, Whisky Mag's Dave Broom describes the Appleton 12 as ""finest aged rum in Jamaica."" Aged in American oak barrels after being distilled using small-batch copper pot stills. Arguably the best Jamaica has to offer, a well-balanced, full flavoured, premium rum at a very reasonable price. This is what rum is all about.
Smells
Hedonistic aromas of caramelised baked bananas with brown spices infused with vanilla and honey.
Tastes
Characteristically creamy and buttery with flavours of fermented bananas infused with baking spices; fennel, star anise and cloves. This rum shows vanilla, biscuit and toasted nut flavours with hints of chocolate, caramel and toffee, a must try.
