Description
This classic, velvet soft, golden Demerara sipping rum has been aged for a lengthy twelve years in ex- whisky barrels. The tropical heat in Guyana makes it taste much older and more mellow and even after twelve years there is not a lot left in each barrel due to the angel's share loss (evaporation). An International Gold Medal winner on many occasions, it's a huge amount of rum for a very humble price and it is the favourite of many rum aficionados around the world. Sip it neat, on the rocks or in a Treacle cocktail - with bitters, cloudy apple juice and maraschino cherry! Whatever way you imbibe it, you will adore it and look to the nearest globe in fine piratical style to discover exactly where the mysterious Demerara coast of Guyana can be found. Love the retro pirate bottle as well, shiver me timbers land lubbers, this is indeed great sipping rum!
