Description

Islay is the home of the Bunnahabhain whiskies. The distillery lies on the isolated north-eastern tip of this enchanting isle. Pronounced 'Bu-na-ha-venn', this distillery is known for its wonderfully gentle drams making it quite distinct from other Islay whiskies, which are usually heavily peated.

During last year's pandemic, we were lucky enough to get our hands on two incredibly limited edition whiskies, made exclusively for travel retail. Due to the lack of international travel these were released to us and we are the only certified NZ retailer of these products. Incredibly rare, these 1 litre bottles sold out in record time, but we have managed to secure an extra allocation of these delightful drams.

Eirigh Na Greinemeans 'Morning Sky' in Gaelic. A portion of this single malt was matured in red wine casks, resulting in juicy berry notes throughout, blending well with the wafts of sea salt and orchard fruit. Sweet, rich spices evolve into flavours of roasted nuts, fresh fruits and hints of the sea which will transport you to the Bunnahabhain pier at sunrise.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
