Description
Honey, ginger, citrus, freshly mown hay, wood smoke and sea salt...Such a complete whisky, Oban distillery has spawned an entire resort around it, despite being extremely small. It is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland (circa 1800) and falls under the rare Coastal West Highlands designation.
Smells
wonderfully rich smoky aromas with notes of the ocean, seaweed and straw.
Tastes
a full bodied whisky that's smooth and has a delightful sweetness toned by lemon zest, giving zing. A long finish with fruity characters and toasty barrel char.
