Exclusive to Fine Wine Delivery – The Glasgow Distillery Co. embraces the pioneering spirit and name of Scotland’s first licensed distillers. In 1770, The Glasgow Distillery Company was founded at Dundashill and remained active until consequent closure at the beginning of the 20th Century. Fast forward to 2014 where The Glasgow Distillery Company re-opened becoming the first Single Malt Whisky Distillery in Glasgow for over 100 years. The Glasgow Distillery Company is re-establishing the metropolitan Scotch Malt Whisky tradition alongside the great whisky regions and bringing Glasgow Malt Whisky back to life.
The ‘Original’ Single Malt Whisky proudly carries 4 Gold Medals and is the Distilleries Inaugural expression, with fresh, smooth notes of dark fruits, creme brulee, decadent figs, honied almonds and marmalade.
This Single Malt was aged in ex-Bourbon casks, being finished in Virgin American Oak. Bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and natural in colour
