Morris of Rutherglen have been producing World renowned fortified wines since 1859. Over 6 generations and 160+ years have led Morris to their latest venture… in 2016 a distillery was built around the original Copper Still, built in the 1930’s. What makes their Single Malts uniquely impressive is their unrivaled access to fortified wine casks for finishing their Whiskies. This Whisky offers incredible value for money and is already staking its claim as one of Australia’s most awarded Single Malts with Golds at San Francisco, London and World Whisky competitions.
This expression was aged in French and American Oak casks, followed by extended maturation in Morris Muscat Barrels, offering a creamy mouthfeel packed full of rich dark fruits and sweet malt, vanilla and baking spice notes.
Colour: Deep rich copper
Nose: Rich with dates, figs and sweetness of dark molasses.
Palate: Well balanced and complex. Dried fig, sweet malt, vanilla and spices with creamy mouth feel.
Finish: Superb oak influence, lovely finish with satisfying after taste that lingers on the palate.
Style: Cask and Barrel Aged
