Description
Ployez Jacquemart (poy-yay-jack-ma) is based in the Premier Cru village of Ludes in Champagne, the beautiful Maison above the cellars the focal point of the village and even occupied by the Nazis in World War 2. These days the house is owned by Gardet proprietors Christophe and Nathalie Prieux and all the Champagnes are made in an Extra-Brut style with extremely low dosage. The Blanc de Blancs is 100% Chardonnay and full of white peach, apple turnover, fresh pastry and a cleansing citrus sherbert. Beautifully rendered and very refined, this Blanc de Blancs is a real gastronomic Champagne as the French would say, its dry palate showing best with seafood.
