Description
The world’s most influential wine critic once described Michel Chapoutier as “a genius”—and it’s hard to disagree. From his $500+ single-vineyard Côte Rôties to his much-loved everyday Côtes du Rhône, every wine bears the hallmark of his uncompromising commitment to organic and biodynamic practices. This Crozes-Hermitage is a perfect example: rich, characterful, and effortlessly stylish, it offers a glimpse into the magic of the Northern Rhône at a fraction of the price. It’s drinking beautifully now, but with the structure and pedigree to reward 5+ years in the cellar. Quite simply, it massively over-delivers—so do yourself a favour and buy it by the case. You’ll be glad you did.
Smells
An exotic nose of blackberry, boysenberry, liquorice, and smoke with an alluring meatiness.
Tastes
This delivers everything you want from Syrah, rich, complex, velvety tannins and ultimately drinkable. It’s delicious, extremely concentrated with a long salivating finish. One for the cellar or really, just drink as it's superb, perhaps decant prior to serving. Perfect with roast beef, lamb, or venison. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
