Jip Jip Rocks is a family-owned winery based in Padthaway, Australia, recently handed over to the second generation of the Bryson family who are keeping the legacy going. Their energies are concentrated on producing classical wines that best represent the regionality of the land around them. Padthaway is a cooler climate than most of Australia, with an average January temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, allowing the wines to retain natural tension and balance. A more gentle, approachable side to Shiraz.
Smells
Gentle raspberry, mulberry, and a touch of blackberry aromas with a whiff of cinnamon and tar on the nose.
Tastes
The fruit flows through wonderfully and is well complemented by the full mouthfeel and beautiful texture of the wine. A well-structured wine with finesse and a long finish that speaks of the cooler climate with great energy, balance, and harmony. An ideal partner with cured meats, stews, and BBQ red meats.
