Description
A new and exciting release from Millton that was bound for overseas, but Fine Wine Delivery has managed to snap it all up at an amazing price for our loyal customers! From New Zealand’s pioneering organic and biodynamic estate, the fruit was hand-harvested from the Te Arai vineyard in Gisborne. This Syrah with a touch of Malbec captures the purity and soulful expression that Millton have become renowned for.
Smells
The bouquet is layered and inviting, opening with blackberry, dark plum, and cassis, interwoven with black pepper, leather and tobacco leaf.
Tastes
On the palate, the wine is textural and earthy, with generous dark fruit flavours framed by supple tannins. Notes of spice, smoked cedar, and savoury undertones bring complexity, while the Malbec contributes a juicy brightness that keeps the wine fresh and lifted. The finish is long, warm, and comforting. Enjoy now through to 2029 with BBQed red meat or hard cheese.
