The winery was established by James and Annie Millton back in 1984 on the banks of the Te Arai River in Gisborne. First to see the sunrise each day this was also New Zealand’s first organic and biodynamic wine estate. In fact they started using Biodynamics before most of Burgundy had even heard of it!
