Description
A new label for this old favourite Chardonnay from the south of France, but don't worry the wine is still superb! Grown in chalky soils then matured on fine lees in older French oak, this is a seriously classy Chardonnay for very little money. With qualities reminiscent of a good Burgundy, it is a little more approachable and accessible making it very friendly to all drinkers alike.
Smells
Aromas of peach, hints of toffee apple, perfumed with notes of lemonades and brown spice.
Tastes
A pretty, charming Chardonnay with a delightful combination of stone fruits and herbal layering adding complexity. It has great balance of fruit to acid and a long, salivating finish. A wonderful entry to the world of French wines. It will appease, delight and expand one’s Chardonnay horizons. Great drinking now through 2026, serve with cheese, salmon or salads. Recommended serving temperature is 11-13 degrees.
