Year in and year out Lawsons Dry Hills Gewurztraminer is outstanding and triumphs at every show it enters. The 2023 is true to form, equally as stunning as past years, and we are sure will gain many accolades throughout the year. The most perfect quintessential Gew, delivering jaw-dropping aromatics and where the palate shows harmony, balance and if poise is a word that could be used for Gew, Lawson’s have achieved it, congrats…Now all is fermented in old barrels giving the wine spice and texture that is quite thrilling, in the process balancing out the exuberant aromatics.
Smells
A hint of spicy oak with lychee, Turkish delight, sultanas, and a gorgeous potpourri of florals.
Tastes
Rich and just off dry, with all sorts of exotic spice and a rich, silky finish, this is excellent and deserving of every accolade coming it's way. A variety that is hard to say but the wine is ultimately satisfying, one sip and you will be hooked. Perfect with a cheese plater or grab a bottle and head to your local Asian BYO, a heavenly comb with Tom Yum Gai.
