Description
Where most Gewurztraminers are easy enough to pick in a blind lineup, Rippon is a lavishly textured and slightly creamy white wine. From the shores of Lake Wanaka, this is a classy wine that shows off its world-famous terroir. The Schist soils are incredibly unique to Central, producing striking wines with an incredible mineral vein, speaking of the soils in which the grapes grow.
Smells
Gentle floral and mineral notes with a kiss of spice.
Tastes
Just off dry with gentle lantana, lychee, and peach, it's a delicate yet somehow quite powerful wine that lingers long on the palate. A refined style, appealing to those who love Rieslings or more restrained aromatic varietals. Perfect drinking now through 2027 with fresh snapper or other seafood delights.
