Description
A highly regarded Pinot Gris from Martinborough with a very poetic back label, Palliser Estate is a just off-dry style in 2023, showing more richness, weight, and gravitas than many other producers. Winemaker Guy McMaster lets the wine spend 2 months on its lees in tank before bottling.
Smells
Honeysuckle, apple, quince, and pear.
Tastes
Luscious and long with plenty of weight and fine, bready richness and nutty complexity. A serious player that cries out for some lightly spiced eastern cuisine, a Pinot Gris that should be enjoyed between now and 2027.
