On Wednesday night we were honoured to host Kiwi brewing legend Richard Emerson for an evening of Emerson's craft beer and gourmet pies.
The Difference Catering were in fine form having designed a highly creative set of pie matches and Richard Emerson's famously textural beers were singing as usual!
150 people joined us for the totally unique tasting. We learnt about the importance of mouthfeel and texture in beer in place of punch-in-the-chops flavour intensity. The all-important balance of malt and hops is on full display in the Emerson's range.
A huge thank you to Richard Emerson for his time, beer, and knowledge, and everyone who came along to the event.
