Description
Region Islay, District South Shore. The Distillery traces its history to 1794.Named after a deep and mysterious loch, at first glance it is deepest gold. Add a little water to release the intense serpent of aroma reminiscent of Christmas pudding and tarry smoke; smells of a bygone era.
Smells
Heady, smoky expression with intense, perfectly integrated aromas of Christmas cake, walnut oil and Parma violets fused with sea salt, cedar, treacle toffee and chocolate raisins.
Tastes
Full flavoured and rich with mouth¨Ccoating texture; an intriguing sweet/spicy balance with deep smoky elements building to a crescendo like a fine Montecristo cigar. Amazing, integrated finish of raisin, deep mocha, espresso and smoky notes.
