Description
Sweet wines are undervalued and really are the nectar of the Gods, especially when we are talking Sauternes. Cadillac is a satilite region near to Sauternes making lighter sweets wines and for bargain basement prices. Buy a bottle, serve with a mature cheddar and suddenly you will have no cares in the world, its that good.
Smells
Aromas of honey, butterscotch, beeswax and hints of lavender
Tastes
The flavours are instantly consuming, like creamed butter, sugar with honey and a dusty vanilla oak layering, wonderful on every level. Not overtly sweet as the oak adds a nutty nuance but the palate is rich, creamy and dreamy, finishing with a crystalline acid thread. Better than dessert, open a bottle and serve.
