Gosset, founded in 1584, is the oldest wine house in Champagne. Back then, they mostly made still red wines from the grapes harvested from the Kings vines. In the 18th century the wines of the region became sparkling and quickly the Gosset family turned to the production of Champagne. In 1994, the house was sold to the Renaud-Cointreau group (family owned and also the owners of Cognac Frapin). Under the new management, Gosset succeeded in increasing its production to meet worldwide demand yet have maintained the superb quality of yester-year. Celebris Vintage Extra Bruit is a blend of the best Crus of the Marne District, latest release is 2007, a blend of 57% Chardonnay and 43% Pinot Noir, only made in the very best years.

the bead is fine, persistent and eye catching. The palate, spellbinding with flavours of grapefruit, kaffir limes, pears, and gala apples. The finish is long, clean and with a salivating, salty vein. The finesse is compelling and with airtime the complexities and richness become more apparent. The perfect aperitif with cheese gougeres or a selection of ripe, creamy cheese.
