Description

One of the oldest Marlborough producers (if not the oldest), the Scott Family have been working in their land since 1990 (Allan has himself been working there since 1973!). Their first Methode was released in 1999 and quickly become a mainstay of the NZ sparkling scene. A careful blend of predominatly Chardonnay with some Pinot Noir, it is aged on lees for 18 months, giving a toasty yeast complexity to the vibrant sparkling.

Smells

Lemon, grapefruit with a lovely brioche complexity.

Tastes

So vibrant and long-lasting, the palate has powerful citrus notes, lemon and grapefruit zest, hints of stonefruit, backed up with toasted hazelnut. The acidity is fresh and mousse fine. Drink now with seafood or soft cheese.
