No.1 SELLING FRENCH ROSÉ

Sublime Five-Star 2019 Vintage

Unrivaled popularity... Chapoutier has been described by Robert Parker as a “Winemaking Genius”! With flavour, purity & dryness at this price... that is genius!

New Zealand's most popular French Rosé is back in stock. We struggle to keep the shelves stocked with this one and sold out prior to Christmas, but a fresh shipment has landed just in time for the sunshine! This sublime 2019 vintage has a well deserved 5-Star review under its belt already, we are in no doubt that its unrivalled popularity will continue again for the seventh summer in a row!

Described by famous World Critic Robert Parker as a “Winemaking Genius” Michel Chapoutier makes some of the Rhône’s elite single vineyard wines selling closer to $1,000/bottle. We're always astonished that the same love and pride goes into a sub $15 dollar bottle...which makes it easy to see how it has reached the heady heights of popularity year on year.

Pays d’Oc is an elegant blend of Grenache and Cinsault grapes cool fermented with minimal racking to preserve its freshness. It’s then aged on fine lees for 3-4 months building the wines succulent body and texture. The finish is pure, fresh and dry. It’s moreish to drink and moreishly priced... don’t be surprised to find this being served at your friends and neighbours places this summer.

Demand for this succulent 5-Star French Rosé will be as hot as the summer temperatures this year, so secure NZ's favourite french quencher for the outstanding price of just $14.90 a bottle, while stocks last. Cheers.

2019 M.Chapoutier Pays d'Oc Rose

Unrivalled popularity... crisp, flavoursome Rosé in the tasty, dry Southern French style.

Description

Our biggest selling Rosé of the summer is back with a fresh new vintage direct from Chapoutier’s Rhone cellars. An elegant blend of Grenache and Cinsault, it is cool fermented with minimal racking to preserve freshness, then aged on fine lees for 3-4 months to imbue the wine with its succulent body and texture. Chapoutier has been described by Robert Parker as a “Winemaking Genius” – and he is a genius to create such a quality Rosé at a price that is affordable to most wine drinkers.

Smells

Bright florals with a hint of pear, strawberry and red cherry.

Tastes

Juicy and mouth-filling, but still crisp and dry, the balance is immaculate, with flavours of berries, spice and almond, finishing silky with a hint of yellow-fleshed plum. A gorgeous wine perfectly suited to al fresco dining and supremely versatile with all sorts of cuisine from salmon to charcuterie.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
