A cult wine from a cult winery! Don’t be put off by the vibrant colour, the flesh of this distinctive variety is bright red, there’s no need for the skins and juice to sit together to extract the colour and flavour before pressing. It’s one of a handful of varieties in the world which exhibits this characteristic. Treat like a Rose, drink chilled as an aperitif or with a charcuterie plate.
Smells
Intense cherries and strawberries, with hints of dried herbs
Tastes
Fresh but full, the concentrated red berry fruit gives the impression of sweetness, but it finishes fine and dry. Alicante ripens at low sugar levels, so this wine is naturally lighter in alcohol (9.5%)! Enjoy immediately, fresh out of the fridge!
