Description
Dry River Riesling, dry style, is about chasing purity, transparency and a tension between acidity, sugar, and texture. They chase a long fermentation for added mouthfeel, but in stainless steel tanks to maintain the fresh and crisp characters.
Smells
A heady rush of grilled lime, delicate white florals, and mineral notes, with a trace of orange sherbet.
Tastes
Dry River’s 2023 Riesling captures a cooler season with zesty flavours, lemon leaves, pink grapefruit, green moss, and wet river stones whilst holding tension with fresh acid, almost salty, and a lighter, fine-boned texture balanced with off-dry sugar. This layered wine promises to develop and open in the glass, with a cellaring potential of ten years+. Best served with a selection of ripe, running cheese.
