Description

Few realise that Australia is the second largest Riesling producer in the world, second only to Germany... and that the Eden Valley is home to some of the finest Dry Rieslings in Australia... some say the world. The magic of Eden Valley Riesling is its rich ripe warm climate flavours infused with classic Riesling zest and structure derived from cooler nights apropos its 600m altitude. They are renowned as a dry, full-bodied style with distinctive lime skin, kaffir leaf aromas. This 2020 Hidden Label Riesling has captured the essence of the Eden Valley and the variety, highlighting the style and quality of the region - offering great drinking now but set to age gracefully and develop more honeyed flavours through 7-10 years... if you can resist immediate temptation.

Smells

Classic aromas of preserved whole limes, fresh lime zest, kaffir leaves, white lilies, and saline freshness.

Tastes

Full bodied with a salivating texture that lingers... supporting a long, pure and refreshing finish. Meyer Lemon and ripe lime, crunchy granny smith apples and hints of tangy lemon sherbet are threaded with subtle sea salt freshness. The contrast between its rich and tangy palate and saline like salivation is delicious. Perfect drinking now through 2027+ with fresh seafood, a cheese platter, smoked salmon or just on its own.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
