Description
The Starborough homestead and tradition symbolise the heritage and values of the four generations of Jones’s who have made Marlborough their home. Bill and Lynette’s son Andrew manages the family’s farming operation, and his viticulturist brother James manages the Starborough wine brand and the company vineyards. Along with producing fruit for the Starborough label the Jones family contract grow for some of the most prestigious wine brands in the region. Their vineyards yield some of the regions finest fruit and it was an inspired choice to appoint regional guru Dave Clouston to craft their ultra-consistent quality wines. This 2023 Sauvignon Blanc just adding to the lustre of this fabulous wine brand.
Smells
Vibrant passionfruit, melon, blackcurrant and sweet herb aromas.
Tastes
Beautifully plump, rich palate of passion and tropical fruit interspersed with gently tangy blackcurrant and subtle herbs. The plush texture and bright acidity give vibrancy and direction to the parade of flavours that persist for a lengthy period. Ideal with smoked salmon and smoked white fish, also baked Hapuka – enjoy tonight and often... through 2026.
