Description
Peckham’s are one of the few New Zealand cider makers who grow apples specifically for making cider. They want complex, full bodied ciders, and that can only be done by using cider apples that are picked when ripe. All the cider apples used to create Peckham’s quality yet very adventurous ciders are grown on their family orchard in the Moutere Valley in Nelson (true apple country). When they couldn’t buy the apples they wanted to make the very best cider, they planted their own and now boast over thirty different cider varieties on their orchard.
This Cider is made exclusively from Kingston Black cider apples. Very slowly fermented over winter and into early spring, this dry cider beautifully expresses the spice and vanilla notes that the king of cider apples creates in our Southern Hemisphere environment.
Serve: Cellar temp. (10 - 13°C)
Residual Sweetness: 6.8g/l
Apples: Kingston Black
Yeasts: Wild yeasts
Aged: 8 months in steel
