Smells
Quite possibly the finest ever vintage our panel has encountered, the 2013 Leeuwin Art Series is simply Epic. The aromatics rise from the glass in haunting fashion with the initial impression of eucalypt, peppermint chocolate biscuit and iodine taking centre stage. Allow another 5 minutes of swirling to let the magic happen and then mesmerize over the raft of graphite, spice box, currants, blackberry, violets and espresso.
Tastes
Margaret River at its finest the palate is exquisitely layered and perfectly ripe imbued with exotic spice notes wrapped in silky intrigue. Impressively structured and punctuated by compact, grainy coco tannin and ripe succulent acids this powerful yet ultra-classy Cabernet is already amazing but will evolve with grace over 20+ years… Enjoy!
