Due to slow economic conditions throughout hospitality and wine retail Villa Maria are CLEARING this stunning $49.99 Reserve Cabernet Merlot from the excellent 2018 vintage at a staggering $29.99. It’s offered to select customers only on a first come basis while stocks last. There is only 112 x 6-packs, hence our restricted customer offer. Villa Maria Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot from the 2018 vintage was officially one of the warmest summers on record. This provided red varietals superb conditions for ripening. Picking commenced early March given these usually later ripening red varieties were at optimum ripeness so were harvested under blue skies. This is a ripe, robust Cabernet Merlot with great ageing potential.
Smells
Aromas of red and black fruits, fine crushed herbs, cedar and spice.
Tastes
Classic Cabernet with black & red fruit, dried herbs, savoury flavours and fine cedary oak delivered with superb energy across the palate. The composition of fine grain tannins and salivating acidity ensure a stylish and lengthy transition from go to whoa. Decanting is recommended before serving and this wine will benefit from 3-5 years ageing.
