Description
Tenuta Rocca Di Montemassi is a Super Tuscan blend of traditional Bordeaux varieties planted at the coastal region of Maremma in Toscana. Very much the “new kid” on the block, the vineyard is only 15 years old yet impressively the wine, shares the same Gambero Rosso “Tre Bicchieri” rating of other big name Super Tuscan’s at 3 – 5 times Rocca’s modest price. With a tiny 1200 six packs produced, the wine is strictly allocated around the world… be quick!
Smells
After an hour in the decanter and now served into quality stemware this epic blend fills the air around the glass with the aromas of Tuscany. Notes of black cherries, dark forest fruits and olive tapenade are to the fore with hints of truffle, espresso and violets whispering beneath.
