$21.90 BUYS YOU 30-40 YEAR... OLD VINE OTAGO PINOT NOIR

Extraordinarily dense & silky @ $21.90

This new 2018 Shaky Bridge Pinot Noir is more of the same... density, lusciousness and silkiness that you'd associate with Pinot Noir twice its special price!

You could be on a fool’s errand to find a Pinot Noir even close to replicating the density of dark, luscious fruits, silky tannin and juicy acidity this 2018 Shaky Bridge has... simply another remarkable Shaky Bridge... still phenomenally priced at $21.90.

Crafted with best modestly cropped fruit from 30-40 year old vines... the winemaking is top shelf and the French oak expensive. The depth of flavour, complexity and mineral freshness mirror that of many Pinot Noir double its special Festive Season price.

Shaky Bridge offers you an opportunity to drink way up the quality ladder plus impress your guests this Festive & Holiday Season at the exceptionally modest price of $21.90. I say “exceptionally modest”, because it casts a huge shadow over most sub $35 Pinot Noir. Stock up, drink well and... HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! JEFF

Description

The classic Alexandra perfumes of spicy fruits burst from the glass with absolute purpose in this 2018 Pinot Noir, reminding you that Shaky Bridge are in possession of some of the oldest vines in Central Otago (averaging 30-years and some up to 40 years old). Classy, opulent and sophisticated, it's silky and possibly just a tad fuller flavoured than the previous (Champion) vintage. This is a serious Otago experience at a very unserious price - almost too good to be true! Savour between now and 2025.

Smells

A haunting bouquet of spiced cherries, roses, wild thyme and summer plums.

Tastes

A voluptuous and full-flavoured Pinot with a very attractive silky texture, the tannins are refined and supple. This wine carries notes of opulent dark fruits that keep you reaching for your glass all night. Premium Otago Pinot drinkers can seriously bridge the quality gap between midweek and weekend drinking by indulging in Shaky Bridge... and do so through 2025!
