Rudi Bauer is a master of Pinot Noir and now it seems his roses are just as seamless. His Bendigo 2021 scored an impressive 96 points by NZ Wine Rater. An impressive score, clearly highlighting the quality and class in the bottle. Watch this space as we are sure the 2022 will follow hotly in the 21’s footsteps. Not your average rose by any means, but rather a wine that requires thought, reflection, and the right company to taste, discuss and critique the wine with. If that sounds a little over the top, then be prepared to taste one of NZ’s finest roses, it's that darn good. Enjoy every sip.

a perfumed delight simply fills the air around the glass, with aromas of strawberry, raspberry sherbet, violets and hints of rosemary and lavender.

This rose is very structural, as to be expected from a European winemaker. A precise, finely chiselled core of fruit runs the length of the palate with an added delightful flair on the finish, rare to NZ roses as typically there is exuberant fruit initially on the palate. Superb balance, charm, and style, and as far as roses go, this is far above the rest. Drinking well now through 2026 and will match well with cured meats, goat cheese salads and a cheese selection.
