Legend Marlborough winemaker Dave Clouston’s wines have always been in hot demand in fine dining rooms globally... his mix of quality, varietal style and superb value beyond reproach. This Two Rivers Altitude Saint Maur Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from the famed Southern Valleys is open cheque book winemaking placing it in the Rolls Royce of Marlborough’s finest. It’s impressive value elsewhere at its early thirties retail... pay that and you’ll be convinced you have bought well. However... buy it at our Spectacular CLEARANCE price of $19.99... and you’ll be glad you took our “UNMISSABLE” advice!

The Wine...

Sourced from their Saint Maur Vineyard in the prime Southern Valleys... the fruit is handpicked from single cane vines thinned to a miserly one bunch per cane for maximal concentration. The first pressings were sent to a diverse trio of concrete egg... clay amphora and seasoned oak barrels to undergo indigenous ferment and ageing. The finished blend that emerged 10-months later is both lavish, layered and spectacular.

Seductive aromas of subtle spice, sweet herbs, baked bread, brioche and nutty notes. Beautifully ripe and full on the palate the rounded citrus and subtle stone fruit are delivered in a superb creamy texture. The finish is intriguing with exceptional length and laced with seductive nutty, bready notes. The mineral freshness makes it easy to return to the glass and excellent with richer seafood and white poultry dishes. Drinking beautifully... it will continue to evolve through 2026+.

You might have previously bought this impressive 2018 Two Rivers Altitude Saint Maur Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc elsewhere and paid in the mid-thirties... you would have been both impressed and delighted with its class and value. If so, you won’t need any convincing of its “UNMISSABLE” value at our CLERANCE price of $19.99. If this is your first encounter with this Rolls Royce Marlborough Sauvignon... take our word for it... backed our 30-day 100% money back guarantee it delivers peerless pleasure, which is why it is normally offered in the finest dining rooms globally! Enjoy, Jeff

Description

Dave Clouston is among the top Sauvignon winemakers in Marlborough and this Altitude is his preeminent expression. Two Rivers Altitude is thinned to one bunch per shoot in the vineyard for maximal concentration and then fermented in seasoned French oak, clay amphora and concrete egg fermenters. A lavish and spectacular wine when it emerges after 10 months, this will cellar well should you be able to keep your hands off it.

Smells

A subtle spice and herbal top note, with bready and nutty notes.

Tastes

Juicy fruit emerges on the palate with lovely ripeness and fullness, with a creamy mid palate and long, mineral finish. Classy wine that will develop more with time in the cellar.
