The packaging looks expensive, the wine tastes expensive - and yet the wine is not expensive! That's the sort of incongruity we can live with.
Smells
Lifted florals, a kiss of leather, black pepper, blackberry, raspberry and plum, with liquorice and hints of wood embers.
Tastes
Beautifully soft and plump, with balancing acidity driving the concentrated fruit towards a long finish, giving a wee wave to the fine, spicy tannins on the way by. So easy to drink with lots more class than you should expect for the money, it's magic with lamb, beef, or venison between now and 2028.
