Description
Few people realise that Te Mata sell off about 70% of their fruit, with only the top 30% being considered for either their Estate wines or their more illustrious Showcase wines like Coleraine and Bullnose. So they're starting from a high base, which makes wines like this Estate Syrah particularly good value. This 2030 is a charming and easy-drinking style with lots of refinement and perfume, it will be great with venison and other lighter game meats.
Smells
Fragrant red and black fruits, with exotic spices, violet florals and game.
Tastes
Juicy and refined, yet very much medium-bodied and elegant, it's silky and spicy with great character. Enjoy with some venison, pork or lamb between now and 2026. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
